First of all, thank you so much for your comments! It’s funny because I never thought I’d actually get comments from anyone, the blogosphere is so huge that I never even imagined that you’d find me
Sewing hasn’t been on the agenda lately because I’ve caught another bug: a big bad nasty cold bug! [...]

Now that the Simplicity website seems to be working again, I can finally check out the new patterns. There are a few that I find really nice, but there are some that I really wonder what they were thinking when they designed them!
The likes:
I really like Khalia Ali’s 3804. A nice raised neckline [...]

I’m making slow progress on my SWAP. I have finished 3 garments and I started on a 4th (the Hot Patterns Flippy Skirt) but I’m having fabric issues and I’ll need to start again from scratch, with a new fabric. Ugh. I’ve already started to think about Phase 2, but I’m really not [...]

I bought my first ever vintage pattern at Booty Vintage about 10 days ago and I received it this weekend. The pattern dates from 1974, so it’s basically older than I am. I wonder which one of the two, the pattern or me, survived the best during the last 33 years? It’s already [...]

… you never know what you gonna get!
My box has arrived, yessss! They have such a speedy service, it’s amazing! I love opening the boxes I receive, because there’s always the “surprise” factor: will the fabric look like it did on the picture? Will the colors be what I expected? How’s the quality?
This [...]

I have received my last order from the Stoffenkraam, where I buy 50% of my fabric. It’s a Dutch online store, they stock a lot of fabrics at 2.50 euros per meter, of decent quality. Where do I buy the other 50% off my fabric? You’ll know soon enough I’ll post a message [...]

I switched off my machines for the day, got a headache and I can’t concentrate. I’m currently struggling with CJ’s shirred top, my knit keeps on rolling and I’m not sure it the boat-neck will actually fit me. Oh well. I was hoping I could finish a 2nd, and even a 3rd garment for my [...]
