Spring/Summer 2007 SWAP

Posted by: marieclaude on: March 11, 2007

SWAP stands for “sewing with a plan”. Ever wondered why you can never find anything to wear even though your closet is full of clothes? There are good chances that they just don’t match together. The solution? A SWAP!

The formula is simple: Phase 1 – make 11 garments. These are: 2 pairs of pants; 2 skirts, one in a solid colour, one in a print or check; 2 simple tops, one solid, one in the above print; 4 tops, in colours which coordinate with the solids; 1 simple cardigan jacket in a solid colour. And you end up with multiple possibilities! For more information, take a look at this page.

So, since I gained a bit of weight since last summer, last year’s clothes just won’t fit anymore. Time for an emergency action: a SWAP! I’ve layed out my plan for Phase 1, including a coat. I’ve already completed one garment, the Jalie top. Today I’ll try to do HP’s Sunshin top and maybe CJ’s shirred top. We’ll see!
